Final day of round robin play. We're in need of some breaks and the curling gods are looking down on us. During our final game vs King it was tough not to look at the other two games to see how things were going. Kleibrink helped us out a lot-the cheques in the mail Amy!-so the rest was up to us. We went an extra end and Renee made a fantastic shot to win. Tie breaker game in the evening vs Webster-after our last showing we were wanted to play much better-although it wouldn't take much. We had just a great game and Crystal made an awesome shot run back to win. Most teams probably would have drawn but she put the broom down and was fearless as she shot. It showed in the result!!! So, our provincial playdowns came to an end. It's very hard not to be playing on Sunday. However, time heals the wounds to make you a stronger player. Although the next few days will be tough. It'll be important to think of the positive and reflect on what each of us needs to do better to prepare. Grande Prairie did a wonderful job hosting such an impressive event. This truly was one of the best assembled fields in curling. We heard that the field of multiplier was the highest in the country. Once again Alberta can say we have some of the best talent in womens curling.
Congratulations to Cheryl, Susan, Carolyn and Cori-we'll be pulling for you to win the Scott's!!!

Provincials-day 3
First game of the day vs Santos.....a solid showing from the team. Second game vs Webster....well lets just say we are hoping to get a second chance to redeem ourselves. We also are in need of help from one of two teams either Kleibrink or Santos will need to win and oh yes we'll need to win our game against the undefeated team. Apparently they are 16-0 at provincials the last two years.....just a little mountain to climb.

Provincials-Day 2
Some of you may think it was a "bad" day yesterday....however, in our minds it was a learning experience. Our third game vs Johnston we had a close game.....fourth game vs Kleibrink.....extra end. Shannon wins for shot of the day in the extra end she made an angle double raise takeout to take ours off the button, Renee has a tough run back to win. Our lesson we learned was that peeling is a great option when you are up three!!! On to day three....wish us luck!!

Provincials - Day 1
First game was against Heather Rankin (she is responsible for this website by the way) and she wins for shot of the day. She made an angle double raise back on to her yellow rock in the top 12 foot into the four foot to double our rocks off the four foot to sit one!!! YIKES, we knew this was going to be a tough provincial but this is serious stuff!!!
Our second game was won against Cheryl Bernard unlike Con from the Sun thinks.....we went an extra end. Renee was playing a control weight hit on Cheryl's rock in the back eight foot about 1/8 buried she rubbed the back of our rock in the top 12 and grazed to hit Cheryl's gently out of the house!!! Planned shot-NOT!!!
Another favourite day for us eat/curl/sleep/eat/curl-----perfect.
On another note Nikki cut off all her hair and it wasn't for a good cause either!!!
Have a fantastic day!!!
