Final day of round robin play. We're in need of some breaks and the curling gods are looking down on us. During our final game vs King it was tough not to look at the other two games to see how things were going. Kleibrink helped us out a lot-the cheques in the mail Amy!-so the rest was up to us. We went an extra end and Renee made a fantastic shot to win. Tie breaker game in the evening vs Webster-after our last showing we were wanted to play much better-although it wouldn't take much. We had just a great game and Crystal made an awesome shot run back to win. Most teams probably would have drawn but she put the broom down and was fearless as she shot. It showed in the result!!! So, our provincial playdowns came to an end. It's very hard not to be playing on Sunday. However, time heals the wounds to make you a stronger player. Although the next few days will be tough. It'll be important to think of the positive and reflect on what each of us needs to do better to prepare. Grande Prairie did a wonderful job hosting such an impressive event. This truly was one of the best assembled fields in curling. We heard that the field of multiplier was the highest in the country. Once again Alberta can say we have some of the best talent in womens curling.
Congratulations to Cheryl, Susan, Carolyn and Cori-we'll be pulling for you to win the Scott's!!!
